POWER Shoes
Peer through the glass shopfront of Power Shoes and you’ll find a mix of robust, curious tools and a wall scattered with myriad key blanks, waiting to be cut to shape. Cindy, the cobbler, posed for the drawing at the center of this print, holding a magnificent pneumatic nail gun with its wonderful, curling cord.
Inspired by the everyday scenes of a local cobbler’s shop, this silkscreen print captures the blend of craftsmanship and curiosity. The vibrant colors and bold lines evoke a sense of anticipation and the hidden stories within the shop.
Through this piece, I aim to celebrate the beauty and intrigue of ordinary moments, encouraging viewers to appreciate the details and narratives in their surroundings. The print is a tribute to the skilled hands and tools that shape our everyday lives.
